Aliens have the most stable of cam arrangements: two pairs of cams, with a single center stem. The "internal cam springs" allow the cams to be placed very close together, for a compact camming unit. This increases placement ability and security in small or marginal placements. With "control sheath" operation, the highly flexible unit has the cam control of a rigid stem unit. The flexible stem reduces "walk in" and allows use over edges, around corners, and in deep placements. Alien cams are made from tempered aluminum and the axles are hardened tool steel.Aliens are made from the finest quality materials. Each unit is inspected throughout the machining and assembling processes and before shipping to assure proper operation.Most sizes of ALIENS are narrower than other 4-cam units! Patented internal spring construction allows placements where even most 3-cam units won't fit - like in pin scars, pockets and mini-huecos. Flexible single cable permits ALIENS to be slotted deeper and "walk" less than other camming devices. Reach for a SUPER LONG or ALIEN SL with an additional 3/4" reach - for sinking deeper placements and better security. ALIENS rack well and are famously easy to place and come equipped with a 6" ULTRATAPE sling. Each CCH cam is now tensile tested at the factory and also continue to be UIAA tested and approved. Be sure to place your ALIENS (and all cams) at 50% closure - for maximum holding strength.

If you are unfamiliar with the use of ALIEN camming devices, instruction on placement is beyond the scope of this web site. Internal Cam Springs allow a much more compact camming unit. With this system, Aliens fit into smaller placements and have more cam surface area per width than other units.
Control Sheath operation allows true flexibility of the main cable stem AND solid cam control. Cam walk and placement change are minimized. Deeper placements are possible, but don't place the stem over sharp edges or so that permanent bending or damage will occur when the unit is weighted.
Secure grip and control. Easy clipping and racking are provided by the cable loop. Aliens are available with or without a sewn Spectra runner.
Axles are machined from hardened stainless steel which is corrosion proof and resists flex. Also. the Internal Spring system allows the axle length to be minimized, which results in a short and virtually unbendable axle
Cams are machined from 6061-T6 Aluminum extrusions, a grippy alloy with TEETH.
Sturdy aluminum handle and top puller are crimped to woven stainless tubular sheath material. A tubular nylon "Sock" provides abrasion resistance. The sheath can be taped, but don't tape tightly or it will cause drag in the operation.
Quality connections. The main cable is individually silver brazed 10mm deep to the stainless cable eye fitting. Nicopress copper cable fittings are used for the swaged connections.
Moderate cam angle of 16 degrees for greater holding power.
Quality control. All machined parts are manufactured in our shop with modern computer numeric controlled equipment. This allows us to control the manufacturing processes from start to finish, eliminating possible errors from outside contractors.
